Barber were asked to create a showroom in the basement of Diesel’s London headquarters to promote their 55DSL fashion range. The showroom was designed in conjunction with the Diesel Boxpark retail unit and features similar applied furniture and merchandising rails.
“The result is a powerful and bold environment maintaining Diesel’s trendsetting brand presence in the market place.” – Doug Barber, MD
Diesel wanted visiting clients to be shown upcoming ranges and sign contracts in a vibrant space that could also be transformed for entertaining. The stairwell, approaching lobby areas and showroom itself used strong monochrome graphic applications to draw visitors through the spaces and into the showroom similar to the retail unit, creating a unified look and feel. The final design has turned a previous storage area in the basement into a modern boutique showroom, which extends along the stairwell up to the ground floor entrance. A new lighting scheme which highlights desired products utilises recycled lamps incorporated into the suspended garment rails adds to the minimalist look and feel.
