Neal’s Yard Remedies – Manchester

2015 saw the opening of Neal’s Yard Remedies on 27 King Street in Manchester. The new store has been relocated and is now the largest Neal’s Yard store in the UK. The store features a new design concept for the retailer, which will be rolled out to other stores in the UK during the coming months.

“This is our largest UK store and to do this with a new concept has been a tremendous team effort. The workmanship and joinery are of a very high standard and we are all really pleased with how it looks.”
– Lee Vaughan, Property and Facilities Manager, Neal’s Yard Remedies

Neal’s Yard are one of the UKs best known retailers of ethical and organic health and beauty products, with 52 stores and more than 470 outlets across the UK and a further 80 stores across the globe, so it was important for Barber to continue with their existing brand ethos whilst also providing a design that was fresh and enticing, which would encourage shoppers to return. Inside, the store features some traditional style natural wood and tiled surfaces mixed with the brand’s trademark blue glass bottles in backlit displays and a cluster of blue glass bottle pendant ceiling lights and a backlit blue glass bottle display. The design has an old style apothecary shop feel to it, with a modern twist. The design invites people to come in and browse – to try different remedies and engage with the shop assistants in a welcoming and comfortable environment.
