Farrell

Timeless design for vintage Brit brand

Project Summary

Farrell is the British menswear label devised by global pop star Robbie Williams. With a vague brief Barber worked closely with Farrell’s team to explore different ways of projecting the ethos through the retail experience.

Project Details

Built upon the foundations of old-fashioned, British values – honesty, integrity and the sense of men being men – Farrell combines modern style with quintessentially old-fashioned tailoring. The design and build contract involved working closely with Robbie and his management team to integrate a timeless backdrop and mid floor retail space. The chosen design complements the line of menswear which is heavily influenced by the 1950s and 60s era when all garments were well made. Robbie Williams attended a PA launch on Oxford Street to drive awareness of the brand and the ten initial concessions were rolled out within House of Fraser stores across Wales, England and Scotland in 2011. The fashion brand has proven to be a huge success with sites developed in Selfridges along with international expansion.

“The end result was something that we could not have anticipated when we started the creative process…We achieved everything we set out to do and it was a great process working with Rob and his management team” Doug Barber MD.
