Sparkle Meets Strategy: Indian Jewellery Brand GIVA Relaunch by Barber Design

This dynamic Indian jewellery brand has rapidly grown from a Bangalore start-up just a few short years ago, into the market leader it is today. It’s now the go-to brand for young, aspirational consumers looking for silver, gold, and lab-grown diamonds.
With an impressive portfolio of over 250 stores already established across India, GIVA faced a unique challenge: how to maintain their rapid momentum and speak with a unified voice as they continued their aggressive expansion.
Their solution? A comprehensive brand revitalisation programme across all customer touchpoints. Which is why they partnered with Barber Design Consultancy.
A coherent vision for rapid growth

GIVA recognised that as they scaled, achieving a consistent and coherent brand message was paramount. We were appointed to overhaul their entire customer experience, which included developing a new brand identity and a captivating new store experience, as well as essential digital collateral, including website design and social media design templates.
Regarding the collaboration, Doug Barber, Barber Design’s Managing Director said it was a “wonderful opportunity to assist GIVA with a new and modern brand identity, retail look and feel, and company direction, which will appeal to their existing and new customer base.”
Creating a unique customer experience

The Barber Design team began the process by immersing ourselves in the brand. We visited the client in Bangalore, studied GIVA’s existing portfolio, and gained a deep understanding of their young and aspirational client base. This groundwork allowed us to work closely with GIVA’s senior management to define a revitalised and modern customer experience.
The fruits of this partnership are already becoming visible. We’re excited to see the first new concept store successfully launched in Bangalore, with a second store currently under development.
The launch of this new look marks the beginning of a massive roll-out, with plans to open an astonishing 25 new stores a month across India. The new concept will be applied to all upcoming locations and, in time, retrofitted to their existing store portfolio, ensuring every customer interaction, whether online or in-store, feels distinctly and uniquely GIVA.
By aligning their physical retail spaces with their digital presence and a new, fresh brand identity, GIVA is strategically positioning itself to deepen engagement with its existing audience, while capturing the attention of new customers.
